Summer, summer is definitely here this week! Whoaaa! And it’s a hot one, temperatures have finally sky rocketed into the high 90’s and into the 100’s with the heat index. Days this hot makes it hard to want to eat anything so I have the perfect smoothie for you just as all those pretty peaches are showing up at the farmers markets, and you can even go pick your own at your local farm this time of year!
Here’s my peachy-keen smoothie for something cool and refreshing, but also filling so you won’t starve yourself because it’s way too hot to eat. This recipe is great for after a workout, when you are famished and want something fast, but not something that’s going to make you feel uncomfortable or perfect for that breakfast on the go!
2 fresh ripe peaches
1 frozen banana
¾ Cup of whole oats
1 tablespoon local honey
2.5 Cups of almond milk
1 Tablespoon of flax seed
Blend everything into a high-speed blender and enjoy!!
