Building Traditions & Continuing Them Throughout the Year

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is only 2 days away! We all get so excited preparing, shopping, prepping, cooking, decorating, and anticipating the upcoming holiday season. Not to mention the family time and the rest and relaxation we so much deserve. We all look forward to eating well as a family with our loved ones. It’s one of my favorite holidays! We count our blessings, relive great memories, laugh, share stories, plan for the future and dream bigger every year. So why do we only focus on it once or twice a year when the holidays come around?

Isn’t this what life is all about family, friends, dreams, hopes, health, and the future. Everyday we race the clock. How much can we get done? Can I squeeze in just 10 more minutes of work? Can we skip the healthy meal as a family and just grab something quick at the local fast food joint? Should we cancel our travel plans to meet family because it’s just too much? Can the kids just keep themselves occupied another 15 minutes? We’re all guilty of it! I’m the first to admit that I have to ask myself quite often is it really that important?

This Thanksgiving, really slow down and enjoy your food, family time, even if it’s watching RG3 take on the Cowboys! 😉 Build traditions with your loved ones. Discover what’s important to you. Slow down and take it all in. Enjoy the time you have. Dig a little deeper and chase that dream you’ve been putting off. Take back your health. Realize that time moves quickly and life will fly by. Don’t you want to live to the best of your ability? Don’t you and your family deserve more? So don’t just celebrate Thanksgiving this year. Make a change, build traditions, and continue them throughout the year not just during the holidays!

Sending you lots of love and many blessings! Happy Thanksgiving!!
